Dave Hernandez


Creator & Producer 

Dave is a photojournalist based in Southern New Jersey. While attending Drexel University for his BA in Communications, he worked on his photojournalism talent and shot events such as the 2008 Presidential election, riots on Broad St. in Philadelphia after the Phillies won the World Series, the Table Tennis Olympic Trials, and celebrity portraits. Since graduating from Drexel University in 2009, David has freelanced for The Central Record, The Maple Shade Progress,, Fire News, and several other online publications. Dave has shot spot news (video) for 6 ABC and Fox 29. He is a member of the National Press Photographers Association and Canon Professional Services.

Dave is a Lieutenant with the Medford Division of Fire in Medford, NJ. He grew up around the firehouse. His step father is a past Chief. Dave has been in the fire service since he was 14 years old. He has numerous certs and awards and is very active within the department.



Steve Mathis  

Graphic Designer & Video Producer

Steve Mathis is a college student from Medford, New Jersey with extensive experience in video production and graphic design. Steve signed on with Dave Hernandez Photo as a web designer, but as video production became a more prominent part of the company, Steve was and continues to be instrumental in the video production process. A recent graduate of the Lenape Regional High School district, a school system with an excellent media arts program, Steve was not only the leader of his school's production team, but an intern with the district tv station, LDTV, as well. Steve lead his school to several best of district Lenape District Television Awards, and is tied for the position of all time LDTV award winner, as well as recipient of the Cheryl Haines Germenario Memorial Award for Excellence in Media Technology.


Sean Crowley


Video Producer & Audio Engineer

As a member of the same high school production team as Steve, Sean took an avid interest in video production, and produced and directed a number of videos with friends and other students. He was also the co-recipient of many of the same LDTV awards as Steve. Sean joined Dave Hernandez Photo as a member of the video production team. An audio engineering major at Burlington County College, Sean has been working side by side with various talent to produce the soundtrack for many Dave Hernandez Photo productions. Sean plays a vital role in the various stages of video production, from filming to editing, as well as a grip for photo shoots.

   Justin Coan  

Director of Photography

Justin is a freelance videographer based out of Southern New Jersey. He has been a Volunteer Firefighter / EMT in Pine Hill, Camden County, NJ for the last five years. Justin started his video career after multiple years as an audio engineer and intern for IATSE Local 8, working as part of the local crew for productions like Clay Aiken, Kenny Rogers, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat and others. After meeting a Steadi-Cam operator during the Clay Aiken performance, he started diving more and more into video production.




   Caitlin Persichilli  

Photographer & Videographer

Caitlin Persichilli is a senior at Burlington County Institute of Technology, studying Advertising, Art and Computer Graphics. Caitlin is currently interning with Dave Hernandez Photo, assisting in photo shoots, editing and graphic design. At BCIT, she has designed the logo for the Burlington County Principal Organization’s 25th Anniversary and is President of the BCIT SkillsUSA Chapter. While working with Dave and crew, Caitlin is always searching for JOBS!!! In the fall of 2014, Caitlin will leave us and continue her education at the Savannah College of Art and Design.



   Kenneth Kelly

Photographer & Videographer

Kenneth Kelly has been a volunteer firefighter for the past 6 years and is also an EMT from his home state of Pennsylvania. His family has been in the fire service for 4 generations with many of those relatives ending up as chiefs of their respective departments. Fire photography for Ken began about 4 years ago with a simple DSLR camera and his journey has brought him to many fire scenes, and station photo shoots.
